| Predictably Rang De Basanti has been selected as India’s entry for the Oscars in the Foreign Film category.
Officials said they chose the movie because of its ‘impressive depiction of contemporary Indian challenges, the problems faced by Indian youth and interesting showcasing of the wide cultural phenomenon that is India’. Did anyone tell them that none of that is probably on the judges criteria for selecting a winner. |

If you look at the other movies in the running this is the best choice. We had movies like CORPORATE, KANK in the list. These guys are crazy – they have no idea what works at the oscars.
