2004:
DPS Scandal
This is where it all began. When a cellphone was made good use of by a Delhi Public School student as he recorded his girlfriend working on him.

Unfortunately he couldn't keep the clip to himself and soon had the entire nation watching as the MMS spread across the country.

While the telecom companies made plenty of extra cash on the MMS the kid himself was locked up.

The forsenic labs declared in Hyderabad that the girl in the video doing the rounds in the name of Miss Jammu wasn't actually Anara Gupta.

Another lab in Chandigarh had of course already confirmed it was her so the controversy never really died down.

Whether the woman frolicking in graphic detail is the beauty queen of J&K is debatable - but folks sure made loads of money with the sales of the CD. That was before the clip hit the internet and became free!

2005:

Shahid Kapoor - Kareena Kapoor MMS:
The first celebrity MMS to hit the scene had a voyeur recording of Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor kissing Kareena in a restaurant. And even though it was pretty clear in the MMS that it really was the two actors, both Shahid and Kareena foolishly went on to deny it. The fact that they later openly admitted to their romance added to the supidity.
